Imagine the worry of being sent from the place you've called home for most of your life despite being, in the United States. This has been the reality for young immigrants until recently. President Bidens actions on Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) have brought a sense of hope and real benefits to DACA recipients, often known as "Dreamers." Lets take a look at how these changesre making a positive impact on their lives;

1. Protection and Preservation of DACA

 Security Against Deportation; President Biden has made it a priority to protect the DACA program ensuring that Dreamers are shielded from deportation long as they meet the programs criteria.

 Renewal of DACA Status; Dreamers can continue renewing their DACA status every two years maintaining both their protection from deportation and work authorization.

2. Employment Authorization**

 Eligibility, for Employment;** Through DACA recipients obtain a work permit (Employment Authorization Document or EAD) allowing them to work legally in the U.S. This authorization can be extended every two years guaranteeing job opportunities.

3. Access, to Social Security and Medicare**

Obtaining a Social Security Number; DACA recipients have the opportunity to request a Social Security number, which's essential for engaging in employment, banking and various official procedures within the United States.

Contributing to Benefits; With a Social Security number in hand Dreamers can make contributions to Social Security and Medicare potentially reaping benefits from these programs in the future depending on changes in immigration policies.

4.  Educational Opportunities

Qualifying for In State Tuition; Numerous states extend in state tuition rates to DACA recipients attending colleges and universities thereby improving access to education.

Availability of Scholarships; Certain private scholarships and financial aid options are accessible to Dreamers offering assistance in alleviating the challenges associated with pursuing education.

5. Advance Parole (Limited Travel Opportunities)

6.  Traveling Abroad; DACA recipients are eligible to apply for Advance Parole enabling them to travel for purposes work related commitments or humanitarian causes while retaining the ability to return to the United States. This provision was reinstated during Bidens administration after facing restrictions, under the government.

7. Legal Recognition

The presence of individuals, in the U.S. Under DACA does not equate to status. It does provide a form of lawful presence that helps alleviate the uncertainties and worries associated with being undocumented. Additionally DACA recipients in states are eligible for drivers licenses, which play a role in facilitating mobility and access to employment opportunities.

Community integration and advocacy efforts focus on acknowledging and supporting Dreamers. The Biden administration has been an advocate for this group promoting solutions such as the DREAM Act to establish a pathway to citizenship. This support contributes to fostering a sense of security and belonging within the Dreamer community.

Efforts are ongoing to push for changes that would lead to citizenship pathways for Dreamers although these changes have not yet materialized. The Biden administrations continuous advocacy aims at granting Dreamers rights and long term security within the United States

These advantages highlight the Biden administrations dedication to backing DACA recipients despite recognizing that the program itself is not a fix. Through advocating for immigration reform the administration endeavors to provide Dreamers with a stable and enduring status, in the U.S.
