New York - March A celebration of the various accents of the Spanish and Portuguese language, as well as of the accents that emerge with English translation, this poetry and music event invites you on a voyage through Latin America, whose boundaries will swell to include New York and Spain, as poets, translators and musicians bring their different accents and cadences to the stage.

As a celebration of accents in a broad sense, Acentos y Sotaques also celebrates the translation of poetry into different media, such as visual arts, film and music. Besides poetry readings, the event will include the projection of images and video art that engage with the written word, a short film, and musical transpositions of poetry.

The readings will be in Spanish, Portuguese and English.
