Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is at it gain. First he called the extermination of six million Jews during World War II "a myth," claiming that Jews have played up Nazi atrocities during the Holocaust in a bid to extort sympathy for Israel from European governments Now just two days before his official trip to meet with President Hamid Karzai in Afghanistan, Ahmadinejad called the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks a "big lie" intended to pave the way for the an invasion of a suffering nation. This is according to its own Iranian State Media.
The bombing of the world trade center was also a "big lie intended to serve as a pretext for fighting terrorism and setting the grounds for sending troops to Afghanistan," Ahmadinejad as said.
He also attacked out agains the capitalist system when he said "Today with blessings from the Almighty, the capitalist system, founded by the Zionists, has also reached an end."
Ahmadinejad blames the "problems in its eastern neighbor" on foreign troops.
The trip is the first for both leaders since their re-election. Ahmadinejad's re-election last summer caused havoc, protest and bloodshed on the street when hundreds of thousands of men, women and children who marched in sweltering heat nine miles down Enghelab Street through the heart of Tehran hope they can force another turning point in Iranian history. They want change and the annulment of the election they believe was rigged by President Ahmadinejad.
