May 21, 2011 - Woodbrige, NJ - Just in time for the so called end of the world on May 21st, I was sent on assignment by Sports Illustrated Kids and Vejatv.com, to cover the Journey’s Backyard BBQ, an extreme sports event featuring the sickest skateboarders in the world, the Osiris Team. No sooner did I enter the venue when I felt a trembling under my feet. Was the prophecy true? Was this the end of the world? As it tuned out the trembling underfoot was from the thousand of spectator’s that came for this one-day non-stop skating event on the northeast coast. As soon as the gate opened there were thousand of people scrambling all over the event. Many went straight to the podium to hear live local bands while others, including myself went straight towards the Osiris booth, where the legends and soon to be legends of skateboarding were busily getting ready for the days activities.
As an avid skateboarder, I have been following the Osiris team from its’ beginning, and now I had been given the opportunity to interview Corey Duffel, Caswell Berry, Stu Graham, Chad Bartie, JT Aultz, Taylor Bingaman and Jamie Palmore. What more could I ask for? To watch them close up as they tear it up on the mini ramp. From their 50- 50s to the big airs they shredded the mini ramp with "steez." ( style and eeze).
Mesmerized as I stood at the top of the ramp as the skaters use their technical, yet stylish tricks to woo the crowd. Yet for the Osiris Team anything is possible. Each member of the team, which his unique style, kept onlookers transfixed, with jaw dropping intensity throughout the event. As the day came to a close thousands of other kids, including myself, and adults can say this was an awesome event we will never forget.

JOHANNESBURG: The final kick of the ball; the whistle sounds, and Spain wins its first World Cup final.
Amsterdam and in Barcelona, two of Europe's major cites came to a standstill as thousands of fans huddled around outdoor screens so that they could catch a glimpse of the World Cup final.
Brought you by Vejatv.com
It was Spain’s Andres Iniesta‘s goal that won the Champions of the World Cup 2010. Iniesta broke a scoreless tie in a very aggressive match in the 116th minute of extra time; a far cry from its first World Cup with Switzerland when Spain lost 1-0. It was the 3rd time the Dutch lost in the Finals.
Not since 1940 had Spain even reached 4th place and today it became the second nation to win a European World Cup title. West Germany won the world cup in 1974.
The game today was rough and the Netherlands moved aggressively with tackling, picking up 8 cautions. Spain only received 4 cautions.
"It was a hard-fought game, but we’ve got great players. We could have scored another goal or two. It was a well-deserved victory and a very happy day for me," said Spain coach Vicente del Bosque.
The Netherlands played a very rough game and was booked nine times. It seemed that Netherlands strategy was to ruin Spain’s attack, by fouling over and over and they almost succeeded in grabbing a win several times. But these antics were not enough to stop the extreme coordination of the Spanish team.
Spain also messed up its share of opportunities but finally with a penalty kick, it put the ball squarely in the net.
Now that Spain has won its first World Cup, the minds of Soccer enthusiasts is turning to the 2014 World Cup, which will be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Spain won the World Cup in one of the most football-crazed nation in the world, but in 2014, they will face Brazil, who is considered by many the outright favorite to win.
As they say “time flies.” See you in 2014.
March 7, 2010 - The Barbara Walters special was seen before the Oscars tonight. In her special most of it was a run of all the interviews she did. Starting as early as the sixties to current 2009. Today she interviewed actress Sandra Bullok who is competing for the first time in the Best Actress category.
Sandra talked with Barbara and told her that she does not know what she will be doing in the next ten years and that ten years ago she did not know either. Barbara Walters said that if she had to change something about her life she would wants more time for herself.
In the end they drank wine that they both said was cheap and dull.

The Lakers have been loosing their away game. Loosing miami on Thursday and Charlotte on Friday.
Charlotte defeated the reigning NBA champions Lakers 98-83 with 10 rebounds from Gerald Wallace,21 points from Stephen Jackson and 17 pointsover the Lakers for the seventh time in their past nine games.
From 2000-2002 Kobe Bryant won three consecutive championships with the Lakers. The lakers lately have been finding iit hard to sustain the same hyper kinetic drive as they have had in the past.
The Lakers will get an opportunity Sunday to see if they are up to it, when they play the Magic in Orlando. The Lakers beat the Magic in the last six games.
Orlando's record is the third-best record in the NBA at 43-20. But Magic is the team to get the Lakers attention.
A victory over Magic (43-20) would help Lakers (46-17) get back on track as it finishes it's three-game road trip. Since last June the Lakers haven’t played at Amway Arena.
