Newark, NJ – September 24, 2010 –Mayor Cory A. Booker, Governor Chris Christie, and Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg will discuss how the $100 million donation from Facebook will improve student success and champion great teachers in the City of Newark during a press conference which will be held in the Bergen/Morris Room of the Robert Treat Hotel, on Saturday, September 25, at 2:30 p.m. The hotel is located at 50 Park Place in Newark’s downtown.
At the press conference, Mayor Booker and Governor Christie will also discuss a shared vision for the future of the Newark public school system. The news of the Facebook donation was officially announced during the “Oprah Winfrey Show” on Friday, September 24.
