It's entitled "Collateral murder" and its video footage or a firefight taken from an Apache attack helicopter on July 12, 207 in the Iraqi suburb of New Baghdad. It shows the killing of more than 12 people including two Reuters news staff by 30 mm cannon fire.
Almost 18 minutes in length, the amazing footage, a dramatic and right there in your face segment that shows the average civilian what real combat is like, and not Hollywood special effects. It clearly shows the firepower and lethality of an Apache attack helicopter.
Reuters had been trying to obtain the video through the Freedom of Information Act since the time of the attack and the video. Wikileaks released the classified video.
The Associated Press has confirmed that the video is legitimate through an anonymous senior U.S. military official.
Among those believed to have been killed in that attack was Reuters photographer Namir Noor-Eldeen, 22, and his driver Saeed Chmagh, 40. Two children also were wounded. According to the Committee to Protect Journalists, 117 Iraqi journalist have been killed to date, and 139 journalists in total.
